It is a historical museum in Tirana, also known as the Museum of Secret Surveillance. It was opened on 2017 in the building that served as Sigurimi’s headquarters during the communist era.
The museum is housed in a two-storey villa with a courtyard of 31 rooms. It was named so because of the climbing plant that covers its facade.
The museum is “dedicated to the innocent people who were spied on, arrested, prosecuted, convicted and executed during the communist regime”
The museum has ‘The Best European Museum’ award of the Year 2020 by the Council of Europe.
